Smoked Shredded Tofu Addictive!



This recipe for smoked shredded tofu has a delicious blend of savoury, smoky, and slightly sweet flavours. Perfect as a protein-rich snack on its own or as a garnish for salads, wraps, and tacos.

Ingredients:

  • 1 block firm tofu
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon liquid smoke
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 375F 190C

Press the tofu to remove excess moisture, then shred it into thin strips

In a bowl, mix together soy sauce, maple syrup, liquid smoke, olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper

Add the shredded tofu to the bowl and toss until well coated

Spread the tofu evenly on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper

Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the tofu is crispy and golden brown, flipping halfway through

Once done, remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving
